Blurry text on Civilization V

Hi, does anyone knows a workaround to the blurry text on Civ V? The only resolution that has a good font rendering is at 2880x1800, but text is so small it's barely readable. Using their HiDPI option somehow makes font rendering worse then using a lower resolution.

edit:
I'm using the OS X version bought on Steam. Is there any difference from the App Store version?
