So I installed the new beta as I like new shiny things.

Well, while everything looks normal, the dock looks super blurry, like its behind frosted glass.

This is running off a 2017 MacBook Air.

Yes. It is the same with me on the same device and it is not just the Dock. Safari title bar is blurry as well. Something is up with this beta, hopefully the next one brings some clarity.

For me even Big Sur was just not as crisp looking on my 2015 Air as previous OS's. it feels like they are optimizing for Retina displays but almost ignoring testing on lower resolutions displays.

I have a QHD 25 inch monitor and am running at native resolution and things look fine. I don't think that QHD 25 is Retina.

I can confirm that the dock looks blurry on 1080p displays on Monterey. It should be an easy bug to fix for the next version.

I feel a noticeable difference in text sharpness now in macOS Monterey beta 4. Much, much better than before.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but just installed the release version on my late 2015 imac and first thing I noticed was blurry dock. And the top bar as well.

So much so I come to this post after searching for blurry macos monterey
