I just recently upgraded the house network to Verizon FiOS, so right now I'm using a FiOS wireless gateway/router in the house.

I have two MacBook Pros - Mine is a 15" MBPr with 10.9 installed.

Girlfriend has a Mid 2010 - 17" MBP with 10.8.5

In early August she brought home 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client'
This is VPN software that will allow her to remotely connect to work to RDP into her workstation there.

I'm not sure if the software is exactly the culprit. We aren't sure exactly when Bonjour services stopped working - but they stopped.

The first red flag was that she was no longer able to print to the wireless printer. That's obviously connected via bonjour/airplay. I can add/remove the printer on my MBPr and print to it. Her printer doesn't find the printer, even when I explicitly tell it the IP address.

The AirPlay indicator on the top menu bar of her desktop does not appear anymore. This is turned on in System Pref -> Display -> "Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available" is turned on. This works on my MBPr and the indicator is always present in the house.

iMessages was a problem, but she signed out and back into iCloud, and was able to then send messages to other iOS users. However, under closer inspection, I'm seeing that bonjour contacts are not working when I have both of our laptops next to each other. I should be showing up in the contact list.

I've read extensively that Bonjour isn't something that can be turned off, then on again. Restarting the machine doesn't seem to work. Before I uninstall Cisco, or re-install the OS, I wonder if anyone has any tips on what I may be able to troubleshoot first.

I have the same problem

After I installed Cisco i am experiencing failure with the wifi connection which keeps dropping and i cannot find my printer or any other computer connected in the same network (via Bonjour). I found a thread which help me to fix this problem

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1352518?start=885&tstart=0
1. Open network preferences from your WiFi icon in the menu bar. Then click advanced. Delete the network that is giving you problems.

2. Open Keychain in the utilities folder of your hard drive. Find the passwords that are stored for your particular network and delete them. There may be multiple passwords for your network, so search carefully.

3. Repair permissions using the disk utility.

4. Reboot the computer.

5. Reenter your network data to log into the network.

However, every time I connect cisco the problem returns. I hope someone can help us to fix this bug for good!

I have the same software for connecting to my computer at work, and every time I log in, both my wireless printer and Gmail account in the Mail app no longer work. It is so annoying to have to constantly log in and out just to connect to my email or print something. If anyone has found a solution, I would love to hear it...
