Just searched the app store and was pretty surprised there's no app which supports Bonjour based messaging like iChat on Mac does.
Surely I'm not the only person who'd find this useful?
The ones which do support ichat in the store require a iChat/aim login.
Some apps like air sharing support bonjour based file transfer between iPhone/mac so why not have an app which supports bonjour messaging?

Heck if there was Bonjour messaging on an app it could also be used for direct messaging between iPhones/iPod touches.

Or am I alone here?

What's the point for using Bonjour messaging? Might as well sms or email one another?

If you're on the same network and want to communicate without having to use SMS or email, which are both logged at some point, Bonjour is great. And encryption can be used which is even better.
