Book bought from Apple - “It is formatted incorrectly”

I just bought a book through the Books app. I'm getting the error message below when I try to open it and read it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Some thoughts in no particular order...

You could download the FREE app named "Calibre", which can open several different formats.
Then, try to read it using Calibre.
Calibre has become my preferred app for reading e-books.

What happens if you RIGHT CLICK on the icon for the book?
Do you get a contextual menu that shows you "Open With..."?
If you go there, does it give you the option to open the file using OTHER reading apps...?

I have long been a fan of calibre. I recommend it and, for "support", I recommend the MobileRead forum.

The Apple distributed ebook may well have DRM which would prevent it from being edited (to fix problems) or even read in a different reading app.
