Has anyone noticed that their iCloud bookmarks don't sync or update across your iCloud devices?

Mine will only update if I either try to add a new bookmark on the other device, or I edit the current bookmarks. Kind of a pain because you would think it would just update automatically as soon as I changed them.

What do you mean? If I add a new bookmark or delete one it happens on all devices, if I edit the name or link for a bookmark it is updated very quickly on other devices

Lets say I add a bookmark on my iPhone. I get on my computer and with Safari, the bookmark isn't there yet. If I want the bookmark to finally show up I have to either edit an existing bookmark, or create a new "fake" bookmark in order for them to finally be updated.

It seems like when I am editing or adding a bookmark on the other device, it finally realizes that something has changed on my other device, so it then updates itself.

I have had that problem since the beginning and is why I quit using iCloud. I tried everything I could think of and all of the suggested remedies on this forum and the Apple forums also, all to no avail. And Apple even took away the best debugging tool that we had in the old MobileMe (replace bookmarks on this device/MM with contents of MM/this device). Now all we get is 'merge' that is useless if you are having issues like this. Apple has never figured out syncing, they just replace one bad method with another.

Sorry to bump this up again but I'm pretty frustrated.

Sometimes my iMac and MBP sync bookmarks fine. Sometimes nothing. Yesterday I added a bookmark while I had my MBP in the Apple Store. When I got home my iMac didn't show the bookmark. I went through the turning off bookmarks and merging routine but that is just a band aid.

Turning bookmarks off and back on seems ridiculous. Do I have to do that every time I want to be sure all the bookmarks I added sync? Does anybody have a real fix for this or does iCloud "just not work"?
