Hello,
Since iOS 12, I’ve noticed poor performance with Books. I tend to read works that have hundreds of footnotes and perhaps thousands of links (internal references such as the index). I also tend to make hundreds of annotations within works. In such cases, opening a book often has a long delay before the UI is responsive, same when taping links to go to another chapter or footnotes, and so forth. Perhaps most read fiction which may not be as such and such decline in performance hasn’t been noticed. Such is the case even on the newest devices. iPad is fine. Anyone else see this? Can’t find any other mention of others also experiencing such. FYI, around 700+ EPUBs added to the app. Bad enough that Books is almost unusable.
