I downloaded a book from the internet into my books on my iMac running catalina and I want to transfer it onto my ipad how do I go about doing this.

Hi Longkeg in books /preferences the sync all is ticked but the book is not syncing across to my ipad

Questions:

What format is the book file? Did it come from Apple? Where exactly did it come from? The “ internet” is a big place. Please try to give as much detail and specifics as possible. Does your iPad have the latest iOS update installed?

Hi it was downloaded from affinity forums, managed to download directly onto my ipad and install it in iBooks after some jiggling about with it. Yes my iPad has the latest ios software installed I guess you are right about the format not being compatible after the trouble I had getting it on to my iPad.Thanks for your replies it is much appreciated.
