I just installed BC 1.4 and have some older games I like to play. They are standard (non-widescreen).

While booted into Windows, is there a way to have it center and put black bars on the sides instead of stretching the images and distorting them?

my independent LCDs stretch only specific resolutions (ie. 1280x1024) and display other ones untouched (ei. 1440x900). I would play around and see if it does that

Your best chance is to play the game in a Windowed Mode.

Any older games in full-screen WILL stretch the picture.

Sometimes you can change settings. Do a search for the game. For example, you can modify the shortcut in battlefield 2/2142 to get widescreen support.

It must have to do with video drivers. I had an XP that it had the option to center and black bar standard mode screens. That was an nVidia I think.

By the way, Madden 2008 (which supports wide screen modes now... 1680 x 1050 x 32) looks FREAKING AWESOME on my 17" MBP!!! :D
