I've just bought a brand new 2.4Ghz 2gb ram 15'' MBP and am installing windows.

I have downloaded the most recent Boot Camp 1.4 from apple and successfully installed a genuine Windows XP CD without a hitch. Windows is up and running.

My problem is when it comes to installing the drivers. its says;

"The package requires a newer version of the windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the windows installer on your system?

I click YES and it come up with;

"The required resource 'UPDATE' is missing"

I haven't a clue what to do next!!!! Please please PLEASE could somehow help me?!?!?

SDAVE,

Thanks for the link. Im going through the process now. I can slipstream my version of xp which is good news!!

Does this mean I have to get both IsoBuster & Nero 6 to complete this?? If I get these programs will they install without the windows divers installed? I might have to do this on a friends PC.

Im a PC virgin so all this is new to me.

Yeah do it on a friends PC, you will have a hard time if you don't do it on a working Windows machine.

You only do it once. Keep the XP SP2 cd in a safe place so you won't have to do it again.

is Boot Camp 1.4 stable ? herd there are many hiccups :confused:

It's pretty stable except a few issues.

My biggest pet peeve is the bluetooth keyboard. I have to turn it off and on everytime I log into Windows. I don't want to get the USB keyboard.
