Hi,
I have recently bought a macbook, and i have used boot camp with windwos xp and 7, and drivers worked perfectly, but i need this drivers for linux, like key functions, camera, key ilumination, etc. So i was wondering if its possible before i install linux in my mac.:eek::confused:

While it might be possible I don't think things like "Keyboard Illumination" will be possible under Linux in Boot Camp. Then again, I'm not too sure about it. Oh and the web cam should work. Again, not sure.

Linux drivers are usually created by the open source community. Lately, some hardware makers are getting more responsible and providing drivers for their hardware, but Apple is unfortunately not among them.

If you need to install ubuntu on your mac I would recommend buying VMware fusion. Then you can run ubuntu virtually without having to reboot. Ubuntu works great on a virtual machine because it is not a resource hog like Vista is. The VMware tools that VMware fusion suggests you install takes care of all the driver problems for the bluetooth and the camera and you will still have your illuminated keyboard because you are still running OSX. VMware fusion is a great solution for running Linux because it is not a resource hog and can be run smoothly side-by-side with OSX.
