I have been trying to create a win10 boot camp all day now (just upgraded to a SSD and want to create the partition right off the bat). I have used this iso to create a vm, which i still have so i don’t believe the problem is that. I have also tried using another iso with the exact same problem. I took some videos showing what I’m experiencing but even after lots of editing to reduce size, they’re still too large to post (each part is under 2 minutes ?)
I’ll try to explain it best I can. Upon finishing boot camp assistant, the Mac tries to restart to allow the user to install windows. At this point my screen just goes black. It won’t do anything and won’t respond. The mouse serial lights up so I know it’s powered on. I tried turning up the brightness but this does not work. Nothing I try is effective. I have removed the partition and ran the assistant again and again. I have tried with multiple isos. No luck. Booting to the Windows partition using the option key upon startup brings me to that exact same black screen. Please help ?
I’m using a 2015 iMac 27-inch running Catalina 10.15.6. If anyone has any experience with this issue, I will be forever grateful.
