Just bought my Mac Pro yesterday and wanted to try run a few games off Windows in Boot-camp.

A Few Questions:

- Which is the best Windows Operating System for games, the most stable one that works on Boot Camp? Should I get Vista, or one of the Windows 7 builds that are floating around the internet?

- How much HDD space should I allow Windows to have, I'm mainly going to be playing games - that's all

Vista is stable with games but Windows 7 has a great interface and I think its a lot better. I would just try out win7 and if it doesn't work for you then go out and buy vista and install that. How much space to give it depends on the size of the games that you want to play and how many you want to play. The Windows 7 install is around 6-7GB and the Vista install is around 10GB. I gave my windows partition 40GB for games but I don't use it very much. It's a better idea to give more than you think you will need because there are always files that can expand in windows over time.

Good advice... try out Windows 7 since it is free and the future

The amount of space you dedicate is determined by your usage, but the suggestions above are good places to start

Before you run the Boot Camp Assistant, print the directions and follow them closely AND backup your data!
