boot camp issue--no leopard dvd

hey guys,

so i have a serious (relatively...) issue: i just finished installing windows sp2, but i don't have my leopard dvd (at home for break, left it in college... rookie move). now, seeing as it IS break, I would love to do a little gaming, for obvious reasons.

the issue is I have a brand new penryn mbp, and so when i tried to torrent bootcamp drivers, i apparently ended up with something that bsod's my driver install on the broadcom wireless part. does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? obviously, I can just wait, so this isn't going to kill me, but if someone could send me their driver files, for at least the broadcom wireless thing... that would be fantastic!

i'm in the same boat. the penryn macbook pros are acting retarded. have been looking all over the internet for these stupid wifi drivers and i can't find anything.

I'd say take it to an Apple store. They may let you use a leopard disc to install the boot camp drivers.

i ended up calling my local apple store and they did indeed offer to install the drivers for me, but I managed to find recent bootcamp drivers online (try torrenting apple boot camp drivers) so I'm all set.

now, to deal with that damn windows activation business...

i'm having a strange problem getting bluetooth to work... i've tried adding my aluminum keyboard/bluetooth mouse over 10 times and it's not working. tried rebooting several times, disabling/enabling BT drivers, just seems like apple messed up big time on the windows drivers for the penryn macbook pro.

Are you using Boot Camp 2.0.3 drivers? That's the version that ships with the "early 2008" MacBook Pros.

Also, Bluetooth keyboards especially are sometimes a mess in Windows (and are not "officially" supported by Apple Boot Camp, although it sort-of works). Mine tends to work by making sure it's paired/connected/working in Windows, and then when rebooting turning it on/off and waiting 30 seconds. This is on a Mac in Boot Camp or on a "real" Windows PC.

I have the new Penryn and I put the first recovery disc in to install drivers, worked perfect

See I'm a bit confused on this because I have a Penyrn (sp?) MBP and when I put in the Leopard DVD it says Boot Camp v.2.0 Does this mean we don't get the newest drivers (this was on XP Pro SP2 mind you)?

Also, when I installed Vista Ultimate x86 and inserted the Leopard DVD, the Boot Camp installer didn't come up. The auto-run gave me two options, install a driver that would all me to use my DVD drive wirelessly or something like that, or to install Mac OS X. I had to go to the Boot Camp folder on the DVD and click the installer.
