Boot camp Mac mini for a Windows PC - performance hit?

Are there performance hits to using boot camp? In other words will the performance of a mac mini be similar to windows PCs with the same CPU, RAM, GPU and HDD? I'm thinking of buying a mac mini but using it as a windows computer.

For all intent and purpose running windows on a Mac mini is the same as running it on any other comparably speced PC. the Mac mini is a PC so when you install windows on it using bootcamp you are just booting into windows.

The only thing bootcamp does is help you install windows and drivers for the mini.

The performance is very close to a Windows 7PC with comparable specifications. However, the bootcamp drivers are typically older than the Windows certified or manufacturers direct download for individual components. Therefore performance suffers slightly. The other main issue is the lack of AHCI which impacts drive performance. This is most apparent with SSDs and there are hacks that allow you to enable AHCI.
