hi guys - is Bootcamp the best way to run windows 8.x on a mac with el capitan? I have seen posts talking about issues with partitions etc etc. Is it better to install windows WITHOUT using bootcamp? If so, how?!

cheers :)

I'd suggest using bootcamp. It's true you'll run into some problems when resizing partitions, but I think it's safer to do it the "Apple way"

Just do it with bootcamp.
But remember: never ever adjust partitions with Windows utilities. Always go into OS X and make your changes.

(Unless you're using CCC. If you don't know what this is then stick to the above.)

use but camp but imho sort your partition sizes before you install, and stick to them. dont mess with it after.
