I currently have a boot camp xp partition used for productivity and gaming. If I were to purchase the Parallels software offered in the mac update bundle would I be able to easily access it in virtualization software and when gaming as a boot camp boot?

I searched and found mixed answers..

Although yes parallels is able to use the boot camp partition to virtualize,
some features like the snapshots are disabled.

If the Bootcamp partition were used, would Parallels Desktop still need the hard disk space (say 32GB) under OS X to store the virtual machine? Or it would make use of the disk space in the NTFS/FAT32 partition? Thanks in advance.

It just uses the Boot Camp install. So there's no VM stored anywhere in OS X.
