ok so i tried to partition my drive with the boot camp installer and i got this message saying

Verification failed. This disk could not be partitioned. Use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

When i went to the disk utility i got this message

Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”

The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

but the repair disk button isnt highlighted - im getting kinda frustrated... any ideas???

You can't repair the volume you're booted from. So pop in your OSX install CD, hold C during bootup to boot off that, then you can run Disk Utility from there and repair your drive
