hey guys.

i just watched a video of how to get boot camp on a mac, but i do not have a disc such as windows 7 or xp, does this mean i can not get windows 7 on my mac? and if i buy a disc does it matter what kind of disc it is such as windows 7 windows visa etc...

Thanks :)

ok thanks man :) do i also need all the discs that came with my mac for all my drivers? once i finish and get into windows 7 i just put those discs in and download the drivers? also i do have a different thing that comes up when i do boot camp everyone else has something for partition, i get to a part asking "Save Windows Support Software" and it either chooses from burn to a cd, or save a copy to an external drive" ??? i never see this on tutorials :(

Be careful you get the right version of Windows for your MacOS.
I believe, MacOS6&7 support Windows7, MacOS5 supports Vista I believe. I don't remember which version of the MacOS supports XP.

ok thanks guys i am getting the windows 7 64 bit from a friend, but i still don't understand one part of my install I've watched tutorials on how to do this and all of them don't have the step that shows up for me :( for me it goes

Introduction
select task
save windows support software, either burn a copy to a cd or dvd, or save a copy to a external drive..????
what do i do at this step no tutorial has this step, I've looked for so long :(

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

They are just Bootcamp drivers. You can do either. Do you have a blank CD/DVD you want to burn the drivers to? Or do you want to just put it on a external drive? You install them after Windows 7 is installed. It makes your graphics card work properly and all the function keys etc.

If you are running Lion, MacOS7 you have to burn these drivers to a CD so they are available at the end of the Windows install. If you are using MacOS6, those drivers come right on the Mac install disk. After you run the Windows installer, you should have made note of which file you need to run for the drivers to install, pop the CD into your Mac while it's running Windows and run the executable that will install drivers so you Mac and interact properly with Windows.

Then burn drivers to a disk or put them on an external drive of some kind and most important read the instructions. :)
