Okay so I have been researching away and have tried a bunch of things to try to save my iPhone. The reason its not working: my young daughter thought it would be cute to throw it in the toilet.
Here is what it is doing:
It is kinda stuck in some kind of boot loop but will load the home screen. I can get emails and text messages, connect to iTunes etc but then the power cuts out and the apple logo comes up. I even was able to make a call once. I also was able to copy my pictures onto my laptop.
What I have done:
So the first thing I did was put it in rice for three days. It turned on but I could still see water under the screen. Turned it off and left it drying on the floor register for another two days. That's when it started the sorta boot loop. Tried getting to recovery mode but could not. Decided to take apart the phone and cleaned with isopropanol (sp?). Turned on and got recovery mode. Was able to do a factory reset...yay!! okay but then tried to restore from backup and phone disconnects from itunes midway through and restarts itself and continues that quasi boot loop thing...boo
Phone is also not really charging properly.
Is she kaput? I'm confused by this sorta boot loop but I can get to the home screen pattern. Also the phone stayed connected to itunes long enough to do the factory reset.
Is there anything I can do to save my phone?? Any programs i can download to help?
