I have a bootable external SSD install of Sonoma that I use with the MacBook when I'm at home. But now I don't wanna have to bring that SSD anymore when I need to work outside. Is there a way to set "boot priority" options like in Windows? e.g., if the SSD is detected on boot, automatically boot from that SSD; otherwise use internal SSD.

At the moment, if the SSD is not inserted on boot, I get an option to select the internal drive during the bootup phase, after which the Macbook restarts for another time just to boot into the internal drive. I'd like to automate this part if possible.
