I have a Rev B 1.86 SSD.

Can someone else please use a watch and post your times?

BEFORE the 1.1 firmware update

10 seconds from power button to apple logo - 17 more seconds to load to my desktop = 27 seconds

After 1.1 update

45 seconds from power button to apple logo - 15 more to load my desktop = 60 seconds

I just used a stopwatch 2 times - same results....

UPDATE: tried SMC Reset - same result.

After firmware updates on SSD :apple: appears at 17 seconds, another 19 seconds to get to desktop.

Do you have new start-up items or 'extensions' installed?

No - the MBA is identical in terms of software from the before and after video. Only Logic 8 and PhotoShop installed. Nothing is set to auto start.

IRONIC: it's not so much about 'o no now it is slow' etc ... I am wondering why before the update it was 10 seconds to get to the apple logo - and after the update it is 45 seconds to get there...

Seems like it is running some kind of memory check or something?

I am getting the following errors on booting (per verbose boot logs)

IGPU: family specific matching fails

Called AppleCare for the first time ever - got a nice fellow named Andrew and explained the before and after.

He said hold COMMAND/OPTION/R/P and then keep them down while pressing power - and voila - the machine restarted 3 times - and now it is back to normal.
