Bootable flash drive for Mac os on Linux

Unfortunately i wiped my drive while using a usb flash drive with Linux Mint on it ,i have got a usb flash drive for Mac os but can,r find any way of installing it over the Linux drive nothing will open it not even Boxes

I am trying to get Mac os back on to my Mac Mini.I will keep Linux in a virtual drive in the future .You can,t beat Mac os as far as i am concerned.

Did you try to boot into recovery mode? (See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201314)
