Hi guys,

I bought a used mac pro 1,1 Lion os 10.7.5

and have inserted a bootable internal sata into the second bay (which works with two other internals)
It isnt recognised...
"the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer"

The bootable is leopard 10.5.8

disk utility doesn't see anything to mount and obviously it isnt there as a choice of boot in system preferences.

Any ideas?

Ive tried looking but cant find an answer yet for myself. ANy kick in the right direction appreciated!

Are you sure the drive is bootable? Have you booted from that drive in the past with that machine?

thanks for the quick response Intell

I restarted a couple of times and there it was <after going into target mode for curiosity's sake>
So it found it, then...

my bad, premature ejectulation!

I swapped two drives around and mistook the bootable for the other.

All is fine, for now ; )
thanks

<dont know why the other internal wasnt picked up initially though>
