BootCamp 1.3 Update - All Apple Special Drivers Fatal Error, TrackPad, Keyboard etc.!

I am having the exact same problem. I have a MacBook Pro with a Bootcamp partition running Windows XP SP 2 and every time I boot into windows, a lot of the Apple drivers (Keyboard, Trackpad, IR, ISight) fail with an error:

"Fatal Error During Installation"

I've even gone so far as to repair my windows install from the XP cd, but with no luck. The keyboard functions without the driver, but the function key does not, thus rendering my delete, home, end, page up, and page down buttons useless. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Any help is much appreciated!

I got the same problem..
By pressing t once.. it comes out to be "tttttttttttttttttttttttttt"
And the keyboard sometimes response very odd. I try to install the driver thru the cd.. but the installation hangs...

Does anyone know how to restore back to bootcamp 1.2??

Same problem here, I'm afraid.

Brand-new 17" MacBook Pro HD (the 1920x1200 display model).

I don't have the same problem on my old MacBook Pro 17" Core Duo.

I burned the driver CD on the Core Duo. Any chance that it put different drivers on the disc, and that I need to burn a new CD on the actual machine?

Do the keyboard / mouse work at all? I would try repairing eac device under the Device Manager (right click on My Computer, select Properties, click Hardware tab, click the Device Manager). I would then point it to each Apple driver on the Boot Camp 1.3 CD (you'll need to navigate to each driver folder for each device) and see if that helps. If you have a 1.2 CD, you could try repairing it with that... but that seems risky given that you'll have a mix of 1.2 and 1.3 drivers.

i had the same problem after i did a windows xp repair. i guess i will have to reinstall windows. i have tried uninstalling/reinstalling bootcamp to no success. even removed all usb devices in device manager (root hub, etc.) and had windows redetect them no fix.

just a note, this isn't a problem with windows. but rather there is a bug in the apple driver created by the bootcamp team.
