I have a 2007 Macbook pro and a 2008 Mac Pro both running Mt Lion. I know on the newer macs w/out a cd there is a option to make a usb install disk. I see in my version of bootcamp 5 that option is not there. Is there a way to turn it on on my computer?

You can follow those directions and it will enable the option, but the reason the option is not there in the first place is because that model Macintosh is not capable of booting Windows from a USB Flash drive. You can create it, but it still will not boot from it.
