Bootcamp and multiple OSX partitions...

Okay so my interest is having 3 HFS+ partitions on my Mac, one system, one for music and another for other stuff and I want to have a 4th NTFS partition to use Windows with it... but BootCamp won't run unless you have a single partition setup... now my question is, can I use bootcamp to create an NTFS partition, install Windows on it and then repartition the single OSX partition onto 2 more partitions? What software can I use with it, I've seen iPartition but at 44.99 its not really worth it.

Well I think I found a way... well first I had 4 partitions, all HSF+, I used iPartition (an old version... from "elusive" sources"), I deleted the 4th partition and created an Microsoft FAT or NTFS partition with iPartirion and checked the box "visible in windows" I started up the WINXP installation disc and it recognized the partition just fine, its formatting now, I'll see if it works or not.

Man I'm so frustrated, I installed Windows and turns out the values in the boot.ini are incorrect and there is no way to change back the correct value, the recovery console does not have the necessary commands and there is no friggin way for me to access the disk and change it, on OSX it can't be changed because its NTFS (and FAT32 is not an option for me) and I have no idea how to make my PC or MBP (on Windows) see the drive to be able to edit the .ini, I tried SMB shares but that didn't work.

So I said to hell with it, I'm going to reformat, install Windows and then use iPartition to create the additional partitions I want.

Man, I hate Bootcamp, thankfully its still beta, otherwise it would be a very incomplete product.

Don't blame Apple & Boot Camp, blame Windows for not supporting EFI/GPT natively and sticking to an archaic BIOS/MBR model. Most of the limits you are running into are from that and that alone.
