The install errors are user-error. How is it user-error? Because the fact that other people can get it to work and they can't, using the same machines and same specs. Maybe they didn't bother to read the instructions?

How large you want the Windows partition to be all depends on what you're going to use it for. If you're using it for gaming, you might as well do half and half. Newer games require a lot of harddrive space. I have 4 games in my Windows partition, and they have taken up 50GB (I don't install anything Windows-side besides games).

More than likely, you're going to be using NTFS. With that being the case... DO NOT forget to REFORMAT the drive when it opts you to. A lot of people have errors installing Windows because they don't reformat the drive and they wind up with a Disk Error.

I ended up using a copy of Windows XP Home instead and it installed correctly.

The problem had nothing to do with user error.

Oh no, I am planning to install XP Pro SP2....that's the only one i have..

It is not always user error, I could not install a copy of Windows XP Pro with service pack 2, for some reason it would not see the partition and it also showed it as the wrong size.

I ended up using a copy of Windows XP Home instead and it installed correctly.

The problem had nothing to do with user error.
