Bootcamp Empire Total War white screen help!

Hi,
Just yesterday installed Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro. I downloaded the demo of Empire Total War via Steam and when I launched the game i got a white screen yet the cursor changed to the game one. I've tried to restart the game numerous times but I am always getting the same thing. There shouldn't be a problem with my computer running the game:

Macbook Pro (non-unibody)
2.6 GHz
4 GB ram
NIVIDA 8600 GF video card
Latest version of bootcamp

I wasn't sure if i needed some new video drivers or something but if someone could give me some advice on how to approach the problem I would really appreciate it.

I'd say newer video drivers is exactly the first step to take. Go to nvidia.com and download the Geforce drivers for the 8M series and Windows 7. Install them and see if that fixes your problem.
