Hi,
I am using Windows Vista 32-bit SP1. In the Apple Software Update, it asks me to install Boot Camp Update 2.1.

I click install.

After it downloads it, it initially tries to install it, but then an error box comes up and says "Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually"

Anybody get this error? Did downloading it and installing manually work?

Also, can you install Bootcamp 2.1 from Mac OS X instead of Windows?

Thanks.

I had this as well. Seems to affect people who use an US version of windows along with non-US keyboard or location/format settings.

The "easiest" solution I could find so far:

*Start - Run - type in regedit - enter
*Ctrl^F (Find) and enter Boot Camp Services

(The tricky part is that with different languages this entry has a different name. In some versions it is Boot Camp-Service, in others it is Boot Camp Dienste and so on). You might have to search just for Boot Camp until you find a folder in which there is a DWORD witch the name "Language".

*Double click on Language and write 409 in Hex. After that the installer should run.
