BootCamp + external drive

OK pretty simple really, not looked greatly into this but was wondering if its possible to bootcamp windows from an external drive, and not have the shut down of the drive and any of that affect it?

If you're wanting to run both OSs without rebooting you need something like Parallels.

nope I know, I want to use BootCamp but dont know if what i want is possible

Unlike Mac OS X, Windows XP is not designed to boot from external hard drives. Thus, getting XP to boot from an external drive to be used with your Intel Mac requires some work.
