I have recently purchaed a Macbook Pro and want to install Windows on it. I have two CDs, Windows XP Professional (version 2002 non SP2) and Windows XP Home (SP2). Can I use the Professional disc? Also I heard that Home only opens up one core for use. Is this true?

Slipstream with the XP Pro disc. Forget Home edition, Pro is much better and is officially support w. Boot Camp.

XP Home is also supported. XP Pro really isn't better for most people. It has a few administrative tools that can allow for a little advanced tweaking that power users might like, but beyond that, there's not many differences (oh, and Pro can join domains, I don't think Home can).

For most people, XP Home is just fine.
