Hi,
I have a 2011 Mac mini that had a fusion drive composed of a 120gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. I split the fusion by deleting the core storage uuid and restoring osx from recovery.
It showed two separate drives on my desktop and osx was running fine.
I then used bootcamp to partition my ssd and began the install process. I have windows on a USB drive and I was booting from that. It took forever to load the windows support so I thought maybe I could install windows and then download the support software afterwards.
It showed windows starting up and took me to where I could choose the partition. I chose the boot camp partition, went to advanced settings, and formatted the partition. It then showed this:
This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk, ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in computer's Bios menu!!!
Does this mean that windows is seeing my two drives as one, or is there a problem with the USB.
Any help would be grateful. I am new to the technical side of Mac and PC so please be gentle.
Thanks
