Hey im trying to install bootcamp right now and I want to put it on an external but where is the option to do that? It just wants to use my hard drive on my MBP.

Are you referring to the Bootcamp app itself? if so it can only be installed on your local hard drive.
well im trying to install windows on my external drive but when I run bootcamp it doesnt show a section where I can choose what drive I want.
