Hey :) I have tried to install Windows 10 build 1909 using Bootcamp on Catalina 10.15.2. Unfortunately, as soon as the setup appears, Windows throws a "kernel security check failure" error. Anybody got the same issue?

Apple Support: "We really want to help, but we would only deal with the Apple software. Anything with the install of Windows is covered by the developer, Microsoft. The only troubleshooting Apple provides for Bootcamp is removing the partition and reinstalling. That part finishes. It’s the Windows installation that isn’t completing which is on Windows side of things."

Microsoft Support: "By default, Windows is not compatible with Apple devices. We also can't provide any help on BootCamp, as it is an Apple Application. Please take your claim to Apple for BootCamp Support."

Basically this means that there is no support for Bootcamp and nor Apple, nor Microsoft care about if it works or not.

I was trying to install Boot Camp on a Thunderbolt SSD drive and I keep getting failures that drivers are missing. Still no luck after days on googling. My guess is either the new Windows ISO breaks Boot Camp and/or no one in Apple ever tested this. I am convinced that Apple did not test installing on a Thunderbolt drive.

They probably didn't as it's not an officially supported setup on anything but internal drive.. though I was wondering whether that would work also.

The help you might get regarding Bootcamp Windows depends on the goodwill of the Apple supporter you contact. A year ago a very friendly German Apple supporter did his best to guide me.:) So I believe there is no general rule regarding this matter.
There are always kind supporters and those who do not know either what the word “kindness” or what the word “support” mean.:(

I reset the NVRAM and this seems to have fixed the issue. I am not sure if the Windows support software was updated between the time when I first tried and now, but Bootcamp re-downloaded it, so it might be the case.

I have a similiar issue (Windows 10 1909 on a Mac Pro 5.1 running High Sierra), the only difference being that if I reset the NVRAM, everything works ok, but when I want to shut down or reset it, I get the BSOD with the Kernel Security Check Failure (then it restarts, and then the BSOD reappears again, either already during the login screen or usually soon after logging in and the cycle continues).

If I reset the NVRAM again, it all works ok again, but only until I try to shut down or reset it. Then the cycle continues.

Mine is doing the Exact same thing but on update 2004 on a MP3,1. Any solutions for this ?

Not sure how it is on 3.1, but have a look at the thread I've started on Apple Discussions back then. Someone very kindly and patiently guided me through it and in the end we figured it out and made it work, and it has been fine since (haven't done any Windows updates though) — https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251094222
