It won't work! Windows sees the display, acts like its going into extended desktop mode but nothing ever comes up on my display. Tried every resolution and refresh rate combo I could and still no go.

I'm not sure what the problem is, this external display works in OS X and even when Windows is first booting.

I use an external display with my MBP, in Windows, every day at work. It's not automatic or as elegant as OS X to set up.

First, are you using a DVI monitor or trying to use the VGA adapter?

VGA... Oh, I wonder if its a driver issue, I'm using the Omega drivers, I get better gaming performance with them over the stock ones that come with bootcamp.

Ah, VGA. That might be the problem. I use a DVI monitor.

Right click the desktop > Properties > Settings > Click the second monitor > Check "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" box.

If you go through those steps and it doesn't work, I think you're looking at an issue that's not resolved yet for VGA monitors.
