Just posted on Apple's site yesterday. Surprised it hasn't made the front page news here.....

Summary

Boot Camp is not supported for use on Macs that ship with Mac OS X Server pre-installed. This includes all Xserves as well as Mac mini and Mac Pro configurations that include Mac OS X Server.

Products Affected

Xserve, Boot Camp, Mac OS X Server 10.5, Mac OS X Server 10.6 , Mac mini (Mac OS X Server)

That's been known for quite some time. The timestamp you are referring to is a modified timestamp, not creation.

OS X server assumes that you are using it as a server. This means that you are going to be running applications that other systems rely on to be up all the time. This is a reasonable decision for Apple to make and it's nothing new.

However, if you want to run windows you can use VMware. It works fine with OS X server.
