Has anybody been able to install BootCamp on a new mid 2018 MacBook Pro?

After numerous other issues (aborted, had to remove the volumes with diskutil, had to use an older ISO, etc.) I got to the end of the Windows installation and it aborted unable to change the boot sector.

I disabled SIP and all T2 boot restrictions in Recovery, same problem.

I am now trying WinClone from a minimum system on my mid 2012. I am not sure, where to get the updated tools, with that works.

This machine is quite half baked.

I'm trying to install on the 13 2017 tb one, and I'm getting "Your disk could not be partitioned."

Will try to either:
1. Revert to Sierra, install BC, upgrade (which I guess isn't possible with 2018)
2. Reinstall and use HPFS instead of APFS, then reinstall/revert back to APFS

What a PITA

I had never done the Windows install on my Apple computers and had someone else do it.

I took a chance and got Win10 Pro to install on my new MBP with no problems or errors and it run great!

This is why, you need to. the latest build. Like macOS, windows needs to have the latest drivers to run the laptop, if you have an older ISO, it simply will fail. I know because I tried bootcamp with an older ISO and it failed. I downloaded the latest ISO from MS, and it worked like a charm.

Installed Boot Camp onto an external drive, everything works except brightness. Windows 10 recognises the brightness button on the touchbar, the brightness sliders changes but the screen does not. Any help?

I installed Bootcamp with no problems.
Now, after reestarting with alt pressed, there is no option to Boot in MacOs.
The system reestarts in Windows.
Any help?

You got to open the laptop and hit and hold ALT quickly. You only have seconds due to Apple starting the laptop when the screen is opened. I use Windows 99% of the time and have mine open to Win10 all the time but every once in a while I will go back to MacOS to do updates.

If you go into the BootCamp ICON in your system tray, you can set if you want your MBP to start in MACOS or Windows. BootCamp icon is a grey diamond.
