I don't know if this is normal or what...
Everytime I restart my computer I have to wait at least 5 mins to do something.
Sometimes it start with XP, sometimes with OSX, depending on the day... But not only that, it takes about 1-2 minutes to get something in the screen after the beeeeep of the restart. If I don't press the Option key it takes another 1-2 minutes to start with an OS (as I said, depending on the day it start with one or the other). If I do press the Opt key I get a gray screen for 1-2 minutes before I can select what disk I want to startup with. But even though I select the one I want to start with, sometimes nothing happens, even after waiting 10 minutes... So I need to manually shut down the computer, and then it usually starts with OSX after a some minutes too...
I erased my Windows partition, I reintalled bootcamp, used another Windows installer but this keeps happening... Is there something I can do to fix this? Or is it normal?
BTW, using Bootcamp 1.2, Windows XP SP2, on a MacPro 2.66 3 GB RAM

Thanks

You can select what system to log in when you turn your Mac on.

Go to System Preferences, and the select Startup Disk. Then choose Mac OS X or XP.

See if this helps, because certainly what you are telling is not normal.

Do things run normally once you are completely logged in with XP?

I have my OSX as startup both in my mac side and my Windows side...

Yes, once in Windows or in OSX everything works great... But this is starting to be realyy annoying...

I don't know what else to do =(

I'm getting a similar problem

I'm tryna set up a machine for a friend (C2D 2.13 Stock MBPro) and I cant seem to get XP to restart properly after i've successfully booted into it. If i boot into OSX, i can restart it and boot back into it ok, or boot into XP ok. But if i boot into XP from cold and attempt a restart, it'll just hang - any ideas?

I've checked and set the target disk to be the windows one on both sides, but it's not helped...
