Well, i've been trying to install my copy of Windows XP on my mac, for games.
i get to the partitioning and then it says to install, so i got to press it and it says insert the disc and wait a few moments.
The problem is, i've already inserted the disc.
I've tried a few different copies of Windows XP that i have lying around *even a friends copy* and it still will not work.
Would it be possible to boot from an iso? or do you think that parallels would be able to take my gaming?
The games i will play are guildwars, a harry potter game.. a few other small games. But mostly GuildWars.
so, any help will be appreciated

Once the Boot Camp Assistant recognizes a Windows installer disc it'll reboot and boot off of the disc.

Not that you can't do that yourself.

uh, that's my problem.
it -DOESN'T- boot from the windows installer disc.
it says there is NO disc when i try to do it.
Please, i'm not stupid enough to do something like that. =]

Reboot with the disc in the Mac and hold down the Option Key after the tone. It'll bring up the boot loader and you should be able to pick the disc from there.

it still doesn't work. all the comes up is my mac HD.
Anything else? Do you think that VMware Fusion would work with a few games?
