I am trying to decide whether I want to install Windows XP on my 2.26 MBP 13". I have a couple of questions.

Does installing XP using Bootcamp slow down the OSX side of the hard disk, decreasing the performance, and overall speediness?

Do I have to install the 1.7 EFI firmware update before I can run Bootcamp and create the partition? I would prefer not to because I had to have my first MBP replaced because of problems with the update and lagging.

The copies of XP that I have don't have service pack 2 with them, but I can install that update once i have windows running. Does the copy that I have have to have SP2 in order to work.

And anyone that made the partition, and runs The Sims 2, does your machine get very hot when your using it?

If you can answer any one of the questions it would be appreciated.
