I've been running Windows 8 on my MacBook Pro (Mid-2012) for a few months now, and updates have always failed to install. So I just turned off Windows Update. However now I am off to boarding school where they absolutely insist that Windows Update is set to automatically download and install updates. Whenever I try and update, it says 'Failed to configure Windows Features, please do not turn off your computer' and then reboots multiple times. Once the computer comes back on most of the updates have failed.
I really need to sort this out before September since I really don't want to have to delete my partition!
NB: After seeing the letter from the school which stated Windows Update must be set to automatically download and install updates, I wiped and completely re-did the partition but with no better results (staying up until 2am last night, goddam frustrating).
Thanks,
Dan
