I am considering creating a bootcamp partition on my MBA and am curious if both Vista and XP have full Energy saving capabilities and if battery time is better or worse with one or the other?

Also, do you run Parallels or Fusion on your MBA?

Many thanks!

What about Windows 7?

What about Windows 7? You can get the RC version free and it runs great on both Bootcamp and VMware Fusion.

If you have to use Vista or XP, I would go with XP.

I didn't think of that, so W7 runs well on the MBA?
What about battery time and energy savings (heat) under Windows7?

Thanks

I would second win7. Its good until sometime in mid- 2010 I believe. I personally went with XP so as not to tax my air, but if you have a decent MB/MBP it should handle vista without any flaws.

Whoops. I guess you have an air. Win7 runs fine, but battery life in XP and W7 are both crappy compared to OSX. Even with tweaked energy saver settings.

So I am better off running it in Parallels or Fusion when it comes to battery time if performance is not the no 1 criteria?
