Try booting up with the OSX install disk, and use disk utility to return to a single partition, but when do it you need to actually erase the disk rather than just repartition. You can also use iPartition (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/23828).

I had that message to start with but when i changed the partition size to 32 gigs it went away. Now i've restored the drive to the one partition and put all my data back on it i get this "your startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition" eh? Sorry but i don't know how to post pictures...

deleting everyting i not what i had in mind...but if that's what i have to do...

carefull before you do that! it was what i needed but you have a different error msg i don't know if you need to do that. I spent ages reformatting and putting the data back on the drive, then installing windows. It worked but windows is as buggy as ever and one of my fav games wont install (c+c 3) was it all worth it? OS X is way better anyway, jeez all this for just games...
