Sorry thats not a very accurate description of the issue, the problem is particularly noticable at very low volume levels using the built in speakers while on the Windows side of the system.

Everytime I click on something like a new program or minimize a window it makes a "pew" sound like a laser gun or something? Sounds trivial I know but it is there during music playback especially while streaming audio off the net. I thought it could be the Realtek audio filter rubbish thats included but its not, it just adds that sound all the time.

Not life threatening, but all different flavours of annoying. Anyone else experienced this and/or knows how to fix it...?

Cheers,
Seb

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question but your problem and question are hilarious!!!:eek::cool::D

haha yeah its fully doing my head in, ill see if I can record the noise somehow and post it up here and see if anyone recognises it

There was an update for Windows that adds additional systme sound packs. You might have changed the default vista sound pack at some point. Go to Control Panel and check to make sure it is set to the defaults.

Let me know how that works out for you.
