Tried looking it up on search, didnt find anything so I find myself asking....

How do I make a my External firewire connected HD Bootup? I would like to basically copy everything that is on my internal mac mini HD and boot from an external source. What can I use to make a copy of everything on my internal HD?

Thanks

I used CCC and did the "terminal thing" for Tiger and my computer won't boot my external clone. I select it in prefs and restart...and it's booting the internal drive. I also tried holding down the option key during restart and only the internal showed up for selection. I specifically remember making sure CCC was in "clone" mode.

If your using Panther Carbon Copy Cloner will do the job just fine. If your using Tiger CCC does not work in Tiger yet, pay a Shareware fee and use SuperDuper for Tiger, you can find it at Version Tracker or Macupdate.
