iPhone Booting tethered with mobilesubstrate disabled?

This came to my mind recently and I think I'd be considering jailbreaking iOS6 if it works. If I JB iOS6 tethered on my iPhone 4 and I boot through redsn0w but hold the + button to disable mobilesubstrate while it boots up, would I be able to turn my phone back on without the use of redsn0w? I ask this because NCSettings stays in the NC even if mobilesubstrate is disabled and that's all I really need until the untethered iOS6 JB comes out.

With + you mean volume up i presume, what that does is go in to safemode, if you install sbsettings you can go into safemode as wel.

I don't see the benefit though....
