I installed boot camp and got WinXP on my machine but my imac will only boot into winXP. I want it to boot straight into mac and only into WinXP if I coose to do so. I called Apple and they had me hold down the option key and then it gave me a choice as to either Apple or Win. If I didn't hold the key, it would boot straight into WinXP.

What do I need to do to get it to boot straight into Mac and then only if I want, boot into Win?? Is there an option in BC assistant to do this??

Go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and highlight your Mac OS X Tiger partition.

You mean that's it? So when I do that it will boot straight into Mac without me holding the option key? Then if I want Windows I do hold the option key?

Simple as that?

Cool!.

I I actually got frustrated with it not knowing that step and just deleted the whole partition yesterday. I guess I'll give it another go and try doing that.

Thanks guys!
