Hello, I had to switch to Tmobile, so I bought a 2g iPhone to unlock. I used QUICKPWN to jailbreak and downloaded Bootneuter to use to neuter/and then unlock my iPhone. However, it just freezes when I open Bootneuter and eventually just reboots.

It does not let me slide the sliders to neuter and then to unlock. I restored to factory and then QUICKPWN'd again, then re downloaded bootneuter, but that did not work either?

Any ideas or help is GREATLY appreciated.

Same happened to me, I had QuickPwn automatically unlock & activate and remove it. Try doing that.

How did you have quickpwn auto unlock? I thought you had to use bootneuter. A step by step would be greaaaaatly appreciated. :p

Also, I am using the latest 2.2 on the iPhone and QUICKPWN.

Update... It finally let me run bootneuter and I received all okay messages. Now, it says, different sim detected, but iTunes wont let me get by the main screen. It says, only compatible sim cards, etc...

The iPhone says T-mobile and I am getting texts and voicemails, but I have the slide for emergency deal? Any ideas?

I have tried everything and googled the whole web. I'll send a $10 iTunes ecard to whomever can get me up and runnin. (I am serious)

Just to be clear, I am running 2.2 on the iPhone and using QUICKPWN 2.2 on a mac.

ok, well you should try to use pwnage tool and make a custom ipsw, put your phone into dfu, and then restore using the custom ipsw.

Trying it now, this may just work. It has an option to 'activate', which I don't get when using quickpwn.

It worked! Apparently the activate option in the custom ispw did the trick. What is your email, you are getting some tunes on me.

i am in the same situation as you were, 2G iphone t-mobile quickpwned, can't get it to unlock.
where did you download the bootloaders from? i tried to get them from the link that everyone is posting bootloaders.rar but pawnage doesn't recognize them as anything when i run it. did you have any such trouble?
are you running internet? if you are, how are you doing that on 2.2?

I downloaded bootneuter from Cydia. (which was installed during the jailbreak process.)

Can you please list on how to do a custom ipsw, I'm confused I have the same problem with Bootneuter

Just download pwnage tool and make sure you have a copy of 2.2.1 ipsw for 2G iphone on your computer. Then when you are running pwnage tool, check "activate" when it asks and continue on. When it is done it helps put your iPhone into DFU mode, and then you can go into itunes and hold option and press restore in itunes, and pick that custom firmware. Then when it is restore/jailbroken you can download and run bootneuter from cydia to unlock the phone. :D
