Borderlands Steam and App Store

So the Borderlands series is on sale on Steam right now and I was wondering if I purchased the Game of the Year edition on steam (which is windows only on Steam), would I be able to validate it on the app store to run it on my 13" MBP without bootcamping it, or would I have to run it off Steam?

Sorry to hijack the thread. I have a related question. Is it possible to download the Windows version in Steam on a Mac. Once I have paid for it and downloaded it can I then redownload it in Steam in Windows under Bootcamp on the same Mac or on a separate Windows desktop with the same account ?

As long as there is no install limit DRM, every game can be downloaded and played on as many computers as you want through Steam. It's a great system.

Thanks for the reply. I think I might just go ahead and buy it. At that price you can't really go wrong.
